Review drilling rig designs (capabilities, light ship weight, comparison with competition etc.).
Support in buying and recycling (drilling) rigs and ships (incl. contracts).
Advise in surveying stacked drilling rigs and determine costs/time/resources to reactivate these rigs.
Advise in resolving stability, motion and structural problems of floating hulls and jack-ups (hull, pedestals etc.).
Perform surveys/audits of vessels in operation or being constructed.
Review and coordinate vessel dry-dockings and dry-wet tows.
Advise in conversion of dedicated drilling rigs into more versatile multipurpose vessels.
Review insurance and incident claims.
Provide support in negotiating new (drilling) rig construction or upgrade shipyard contracts.
Setting up and support implementing rig refurbishment/reactivation and upgrade projects.
Review impact of specific client requirements on construction (incl. Pbras, ONGC, Statoil CATJ, Aramco Schedule G, Arctic design rules/guidelines, local/international helideck design rules).
Advise in charting and resolving disputes about root causes of delays and associated (technical, commercial) problems of drilling rig shipyard construction projects.
Work as technical advisor in legal disputes associated with drilling rigs or act as an (expert) witness specialist in legal disputes.
Review existing operations/marketing/engineering management systems of offshore drilling contractors and generate improvements in Rig Operations Manuals, Rig Technical Specifications, Rig Management of Change register etc.
